OUR STORY

Students4SB started as just an idea in a classroom, and now we are a non-profit group getting ready to help out all around South Brunswick. We are still pretty new and working on building everything up, but we are super excited to start showing up at local events and festivals soon. Students4SB is fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation (d.b.a. Hack Club), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 81-2908499).

A big reason we wanted to start this was to help recognize student issues and develop empathy. Dealing with painful growth strains like Osgood-Schlatter disease or sudden sports injuries can be really frustrating, and trying to understand confusing medical terms just makes it worse. That is why we started our Medical Advocacy branch. We want to take complex health topics and break them down into simple, normal language so families in our community can stay safe and active.

ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Students4SB is an organization based in South Brunswick, NJ, founded to advocate for medical issues the student body faces, while also helping the community!

OUR GOAL

We want to create great volunteer and leadership opportunities for students, plan fun events, and inspire everyone our age to get involved in South Brunswick. We are focusing on building a supportive network where teens can learn real-world skills, lead their own projects, and make a lasting difference right here in our hometown.

A big part of this is making sure our community service projects directly help local families, whether we are setting up book stations or organizing donation drives. By showing up where people already gather, we hope to bring neighbors together, spark a culture of giving back, and empower the next generation of young leaders to take real action.

Our Two Branches

We organize our efforts into two distinct pillars to maximize our impact in South Brunswick, combining local service with specialized medical information.

Community Service

GIVING BACK LOCALLY

We believe real change starts close to home. Our community branch runs hands-on initiatives that directly support South Brunswick families by providing resources, reducing food insecurity, and bringing people together across cultural boundaries.

Community Initiatives

Free Library – We are setting up free book stations at community events so every student and family has access to educational materials without any costs or barriers.

Food Pantry Drives – We are partnering with cultural celebrations like Ganpati and Eid to host food drives. We want to take the generosity of our community and direct it straight to local food pantries.

Community Events – Whether it is a local fair or a cultural festival, our team is ready to show up, set up, and build real connections between students and the broader South Brunswick community.

Medical Advocacy

HEALTH EDUCATION FOR EVERYONE

Healthcare can be confusing, especially if you do not have easy access to medical professionals. Our medical branch breaks down complex health topics into simple, everyday language so we can bring real knowledge straight to our community.

Health and Education

Research Cycles – Every couple of weeks, our team picks an important health topic like childhood nutrition or teen mental health. We research it deeply and put together clear and easy to understand presentations for our community.

Event Locations – We are working on getting physical spots at local parks, wellness centers, and fairs. This will let us share our health presentations in person with families and kids right where they already hang out.

Student Research – Everyone on our team gets to build actual research and public speaking skills. We do not just talk about medicine. We study it, break it down, and share it confidently.
